Beatriz Said Yes. Now Seven Others Will Too

The Notary Public Certification project is one of those efforts that shows what happens when we invest in our community.

Instead of only asking:

"Who can come help our community?" we are also asking, "Who in our community is ready to grow and help others?"

With Beatriz's support and guidance, 7 residents will begin preparing for their notary certification, with the goal of starting the certification process in mid-June. Unidos will also help cover the cost, making this opportunity more accessible for residents who may not have been able to pursue it on their own. People who understand the fears and needs of our families are preparing to become part of the solution.

This project gives residents the chance to build a practical skill and become a trusted support for neighbors who need help with important documents. In return, they will commit to supporting Unidos' legal clinics, especially the clinics that serve our undocumented neighbors and families who need trustworthy, culturally sensitive support.

What makes this powerful is that it reflects community helping community.

That is how we remind our neighbors that they are not only people who receive support. They are leaders with something valuable to offer.
