Celebrate Día del Niño

Día del Niño

April 25th 11:00 AM - 3:00PM

Stone Field in San Juan Capistrano

Across Latin America, Día del Niño (Day of the Child) is a long-standing tradition that recognizes the importance of children and their role in our communities. It is connected to global efforts like the United Nations’ Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), which affirm that every child has the right to education, health, safety, family, and play.

For many families, Día del Niño is both a celebration and a reminder of the responsibility we share to support and protect children as they grow.

At Unidos South OC, we continue this tradition through our annual Día del Niño celebration, bringing together families, community partners, and local resources in one space.

This year, we are proud to host over 40 organizations, churches, and community partners who will be sharing information, services, and support with our community.

Each booth will also include an interactive activity for children and highlight a specific child’s right—such as education, health, family, or play—helping families learn while engaging with each organization.

Throughout the day, children and families will be able to enjoy:

  • Live performances by students from local schools

  • Food trucks offering a variety of options

  • Inflatables and play areas for kids

  • Raffles and giveaways

This event is designed to create space for families to connect, access resources, and spend time together while centering the importance of our children.

We invite you and your family to join us for a day of community and celebration.
