Summer programs

Step 1: Fill Out the Unidos South OC Waiver/Authorization Form

Before your child can participate in any Unidos South OC programs, activities, or events, you must complete a Waiver/Authorization form.

What You’ll Need:

  • Medical insurance information for your child

  • Your child’s high school graduation year

  • The grade your child will be entering

Note: You can use this form to submit information for more than one child.

By filling out this form, you’re giving your consent and agreeing to the terms and conditions of participation.

Step 2: Complete the Summer Sign-Ups Permission Slip

After filling out the waiver, the next step is to sign up for summer programs.

What to Do:

  1. Read the program descriptions on the Unidos South OC website to learn about each offering.

  2. Use the permission slip form to sign up your child for the programs that interest you.

    • This form will allow you to choose multiple programs for multiple children, one child at a time.

  3. On the form, look to the right of each program name to see which grade levels are eligible.

    • Only choose programs that match the grade your child will be entering.

What Happens Next:

After you submit the form Maritza, our Program Director, will contact you to confirm your child's enrollment.

This summer, we will be offering 8 weeks of academic and enrichment programming for youth,

Monday through Thursday.

Session 1: June 8th – June 25th

Session 2: July 13th – August 8th

Program Cost: $25 Per Student for the entire summer

Elementary Summer Session

  • Making Mondays

    11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    Elementary students will participate in a program featuring art projects and cooking classes designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Students will have the opportunity to explore different activities in a safe and supervised environment alongside their peers and program leaders.

  • Academic Tuesdays

    11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    Students will participate in programs that include math games, library visits, and other educational activities designed to encourage learning, teamwork, and problem-solving in a supervised environment.

  • Craft Wednesdays

    11:00 PM - 1:00 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    Students will participate in activities including Lego building, painting pots and planting seeds, and creating posters for Multicultural Day.

  • Outside Thursdays

    10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    Students will participate in outings and recreational activities, including soccer and other group activities throughout the summer program.

Youth Summer Session

  • Making Mondays

    3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    Youth participants will take part in creative activities and hands-on projects during Making Monday, including art, cooking, and other enrichment activities.

  • Academic Tuesdays

    4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

    Students will participate in math activities and book club discussions with support from teachers and educators from surrounding schools.

  • Youth Group Wednesdays

    6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

    Youth will engage in wellness activities, leadership discussions, and youth group programming throughout the session.

  • Field Trip Thursdays

    Times Vary

    On Thursdays, kids will have the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and engage in fun and exciting activities! We'll be exploring local parks and trails, allowing kids to experience the beauty of nature and discover new places in their community. We'll also have opportunities for group games and challenges, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among our participants.

  • The Ecology Center Field Trip

    Thursday, June 11th

    9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    The Ecology Center is an educational field trip experience in San Juan Capistrano focused on sustainability, gardening, and environmental learning through hands-on activities for students.

    Transportation will be provided.

  • Emerald Cove

    June 29 - July 4th

    8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

    1st Grade - 5th Grade

    Emerald Cove Day Camp is a summer day camp program in San Juan Capistrano that provides organized outdoor and recreational activities for elementary-aged students.

    Transportation will be provided.

  • Whale Watching

    Thursday Aug 8th

    Time Pending

    1st Grade - 12th Grade

    Children and Youth will have the experience of seeing whales and dolphins. They will learn the importance of a healthy marine environment and about the animals we might see.

    Transportation will be provided.

  • Youth Kayaking

    Thursday June 25th

    Time Pending

    6th Grade- 12th Grade

    The kids and youth will experience kayaking or paddle boarding while learning about marine life. Physical activity involvement.

    Transportation will be provided.
